How is your business contributing to a greener future?
“Using a high-voltage, low-current LED array streetlight that is coupled with a proprietary thermal management system and driven by a patented power control system, the LED array controls its own power level. This creates optimal lighting while maximizing power efficiency of up to 98 per cent. In this way the Remco solid-state lighting system is a significant contribution to help reduce global warming.”
What do you hope a greener future will look like?
“The current conventional street lighting in Canada needs to be replaced. Remco’s LED Street Lighting would achieve 50 per cent in energy savings.”
How is your business contributing to a greener future?
“The Cleantech market, basically anything that reduces greenhouse emissions, is one of the most attractive long-term investment sectors. The Cleantech market is not a niche market anymore, the concern of climate change is driving the value of this market and a tremendous amount of cash is ready to move in. Greenrock Asset Management brings together technical and business expertise with investing experience offers investment solutions for this dynamic and diverse sector. We enable investors to earn investment returns while contributing to environmental solutions with local impact and international reach.”
What do you hope a greener future will look like?
“We are an innovation driven country. Innovation can come from anywhere; the question is where is the next wave of innovation going to come from?”
How is your business contributing to a greener future?
“A hydrogen powered generator, which we call the Jetstar, is mounted onto the back of a transport truck. Using a bottle of distilled water, the Jetstar system enriches the air mixture supplied to the engine air intake manifold system. This enhances the engine air/fuel mixture resulting in amore efficient and complete burn. Because the burn is more efficient, emissions such as all that black smoke you see coming out of trucks on the highway are reduced, fuel mileage is increased while maintenance and operating costs are reduced.”
What do you hope a greener future will look like?
“I hope see this technology adopted over the road and into marine and rail technology. Students need to think outrageously and look for technology that others say can’t be done.”
How is your business contributing to a greener future?
“BacTech uses bacterial oxidation technology that liberates precious and base metals from difficult-to-treat sulphide ores and concentrates. Bacterial oxidation is a safe and environmentally friendly process. It has the advantage of improving metal recovery at significantly lower capital and operating costs when compared to the traditional treatment methods of smelting, roasting and pressure oxidation.”
What do you hope a greener future will look like?
“We have expanded with the knowledge of the environmental benefits of the business. In the future, if we are going to mine, we are going to mine making the least environmental damage possible.”
