LG Fashion Week saw the continuation and revival of many trends, such as wearing innerwear as outerwear with lace, silk and sheer fabrics. The romantic collections hinted at an end for masculine women’s wear like harem pants, shoulder pads and boyfriend blazers.

The Nada collection used lace in most pieces, revealing the models’ breasts, stomachs and hips.

“I would be terrified to wear just lace over my breasts,” said MTV’s Jessi Cruickshank.

Designers Romona Kaveza, Lucian Matis and Kimberley Newport-Mimran of Pink Tartan continued the one-shoulder trend in their dresses.

Last season saw the introduction of fitted leather pants by major designers such as Stefano Pilati for Yves Saint Laurent and Christophe Decarnin for Balmain. LG Fashion Week designers agreed that the harem pant trend was dead, and designed boyfriend-fitted, cropped trousers.

Soft tones of pink, yellow, blue, grey and coral, mixed with the classic white and black combination, are the main colours for spring 2010.
